Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate. So what are your thought on dating someone who's in AA or NA or some sort of 12-step recovery program? You have to decide, if you drink, about what you shall do in that situation. If you don't drink, they may be the one who deserves a chance.
Personally I would rather be with someone who recognizes the problem and is trying to do something about it than someone who is still doing whatever they do. I, myself, am in the AA Program, and my sobriety is most important to me. Are you going to tell them that you drink, and the correct amount, or are you going to substain around that person. I can't spend much time around serious drinkers..I completely enjoy being around people actively working a recovery program. That being said: It would entirely depend on where this person is in the recovery process, and whether or not the other person is able to support that recovery process.
i would think that you would know that info about someone to an extent prior to moving in with them and especially before marrying them, but then again i know couples that have no idea what the other person makes per year ...
